Ridge Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. was established in December 1982 by Joe and Debbie Ridge. In the beginning, the company operated with rented office space that consisted of just enough room for one desk and a chair for Debbie, and one truck for Joe to do estimates and install the jobs. After just a couple of months another truck was bought and two more men were hired to install the units.
From these humble beginnings Ridge Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. has grown to nearly 30 employees, 15 trucks and a newly remodeled office and warehouse located on St. Andrews Boulevard in Panama City, Florida.
Besides installing the more traditional, conventional and air to air heat pump heating and cooling units, Ridge Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. installs the latest in technology; the geothermal closed water loop heating and cooling systems.
Joe and Debbie have three grown children; Jennifer, a reporter for WJHG-TV Newschannel 7, Kevin, an electronics technician in the Air Force stationed at Omaha, Nebraska and Angela, who works as a Real Estate closing agent in Birmingham, Alabama.
Joe is of course, the leader of the gang! He is strong, silent, and highly respected. Joe oversees the daily operations of everything from the office, the warehouse, and the service technicians to the installers.
Although Debbie no longer takes an active part in the daily operations of the business she does help with the larger decisions that are to be made for the company.
