Homeowner’s Tip: Due to the high humidity in our area, it is very common for all air conditioner’s drain line to accumulate algae and other foreign matter leading to drain blockage. This line usually requires high pressure to clear the blockage. Bleach is helpful in reducing buildup of growth in the pan and pipes. It should be poured into the drain every time the filter is changed, which should be monthly.
